Whether you touch down by plane, roll in by train, glide in on a coach or steer in on your own four wheels, reaching the WRO Open Championship venue is refreshingly simple. We’ve pulled everything you need to know into one place.
By air

Direct coach shuttles on every official arrival day from the three most-used airports:
- Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) – the local gateway, 30 min to the city
- Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG) – around 2 h door-to-door
- Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE) – about 3 h, good for long-haul connections
A seat costs is NOT included with your registration. To guarantee smooth loading we simply need your flight number and scheduled arrival time at least 14 days before you fly and we will give you further information about transfer to hotel.
Flying into Trieste, Treviso, Graz or Klagenfurt? These airports have frequent public buses and commercial shuttles to Ljubljana. While we do not run dedicated coaches from them, our Online SUPPORT Team will gladly point you to the best option.

By Train
Ljubljana’s main railway station sits right in the centre—an easy 7-minute walk to the venue and most partner hotels are very close. International daytime links arrive from Munich, Vienna, Zagreb, Rijeka and Trieste, while night trains connect Zürich, Stuttgart and Budapest.
By Coach / Long-distance bus
The inter-city bus terminal shares the forecourt with the train station, so you’ll be similarly close. Some hotels have limited curb space for large coaches; if your team is arriving in its own bus, please tell us in advance so we can coordinate unloading with your hotel.
By Car
All official hotels provide either on-site parking or an underground garage. Drivers to the venue can use the large outdoor car park on Vilharjeva Street (standard city rates apply).
Getting around during the event
Your accreditation badge doubles as a free pass on Ljubljana city buses from 1st – 6th September. Every hotel description on our website lists the bus lines that stop at the door and their daytime frequency, so you can plan outings or late-evening returns without fuss.
